Many thanks, Mike.  With your advice I searched for and found the
enchant source code at abiword.  Seemed easiest to build a new version
of 1.5 without the turkish spellcheck than going through the downgrade
process. I did that and then recompiled Sylpheed. Spellcheck
and everything else works as expected once more. No segfaults.
