This sounds like the old enchant issue again - it has been reported a couple
of times over on this list - downgrade enchant to version 1.4.2 or build
version 1.5.0 using --disable-zemberek (spellcheck turkish)

Slyheed built and runs fine on fedora. There is a ubuntu package -- but it doesn't have gtkspell enabled! (Kind of a ridiculous oversight...)
