A few questions about regexps.

Do they make sense about char's case?
Is there an ability there to set global flags to patterns?
Do they support localization? For example, how to force them to ignore a
case of national chars?

Sorry, if my questions seem like stupid, I didn't found info elsewhere.
I've asked once but nobody answers...
