Are you talking about the behavior of two subsequent mail checks? If so, that's not quite the same as the behavior I want. I mean that I'd like to be able to create a filter so that emails that come from a mailing list immediately have their "new" flag removed (but *not* their unread flag).

There was a line break between them. I just clicked "Reply" for the message to check... I don't see the same behavior that you do (the two * bullets are separated by a line break).

Could it be some characteristic of my encoding scheme?
