Upgrading to beta2 or beta3 should make you happy in this regard.

Sorry, but I don't see this behavior here.

Perhaps you'd want to look at ports-mgmt/portdowngrade, in your ports tree,
and downgrade your Sylpheed (or jump to beta2 or beta3, without using the
ports).

Updating the mail/sylphee2-devel port depends on whether Hiroyuki plans to
release Sylpheed 2.4.0 or beta4.  :)
