[sylpheed:37280] Re: Microsoft dumping app passwords and basic authentication by September 16th, 2024: OAuth, Sylpheed 8 beta 1 and Windows 7, ¿works?

It would be nice if Sylpheed 3.8 could be updated to fully support OAuth2.
I have not been looking forward to migrating my email off of Google Mail
because I have everything set up exactly the way I like it. However, I'm
also not willing to give up using Sylpheed as it is the mailer-agent of my
choice for a very long time.

On the subject of other mail providers, does anyone know of any email
providers that support wildcard domain aliasing?

By this I mean, for example, suppose your domain is *mydom.com
<http://mydom.com>*, I have it setup so that *anything at mydom.com
<anything at mydom.com>* goes into my main inbox -- that is, any string to the
left of the '@' sign is all aliased to one inbox. I have been using this
wildcard aliasing feature for more than 20 years already, which means that
I have hundreds, maybe over a thousand aliases used right now, from
everything to bills, and subscriptions, and even more importantly (as I'm
laid off right now and I've been using it for a very arduous job search)
prospective employers.

I was thinking of migrating to FASTMAIL, but I heard they did a round of
layoffs recently, so I am unsure of their stability.

Cheers,
-GALF
