Hi all,
No offense, going to Git-hub is not a good idea.
There are real open alternatives. SF is one of them.
Git-Hub is under M$ dominion.
While everyone may access Git-hub in read / download mode, access in registered mode, does demand to use a Browser that include some code from M$, or to add-install it in the Browser.
Without this code, there is no way to register in Git-hub and thus no mailing list, no bug report, etc ...
[explaining it here is way out of scope],
This do not appear as problem to most of us because most browser have that plug already installed by default !
Happily, a few other browsers do not have it.
Remember that many of us went out of M$ sphere with in mind a goal to get rid of some "M$ control".
If no one had wanted to go away from MS spirit (with its OutLK etc... ) Sylpheed would probably not have come to us.
M$ is not an "evolution" future step for the open world.
Alternatives to Git-hub exist like SourceForge.
SF work and provide all features needed.
Git hub only could be a "political" choice, and a bad one.
Going back to M$ controlled dominion is a real mistake and sounds, no offense, to the one of us that fought to develop an open world, a not really educated thought.
