I am a great fan of raster fonts.  Will you share yours?

Correct -- I have set up Terminus for LXDE, too.

It is the same with .fon files, unless they are multi-size
ones (like Terminus).  If some TTF font looks sharp at size 12,
you can also use it at sizes 24, 32, &c, so high-DPI monitors
are not a problem.
