[sylpheed:36767] using sylpheed for OAuths2 Multi-factor authentication

Hi,
My workplace has switched to Office which is requiring two-factor authentication using OAuth2. Is it possible to use sylpheed for this purpose. I do not want to move out and use evolution. 

One possibility is to use postfix for the sending but I am not quite sure how to go about doing this. 

I am happy to provide more clarifications as needed.
