You're misinterpreting what being online means for Sylpheed, a mail program,
with what it means for network connection manager software.
For Sylpheed it just means it will try (online) or will not try (offline)
to make a connection. Nothing else.
You have the capacity to learn from mistakes. You'll learn a lot
