Hi,
[Sorry if this is a double-post, but I can't find my original message
in the list archives]
I'm currently using Thunderbird to connect to my company's Exchange
server and fetch emails. The relevant IMAP server settings are:
Port: 993
Connection Security: SSL/TLS
Authentication method: Normal password
Now, I'm trying to migrate to Sylpheed since Thunderbird sucks so
hard. Here are the relevant IMAP server settings:
Advanced: Specify IMAP4 port: 993
SSL: Use SSL for IMAP4 connection
Receive: Authentication Method: (Tried all possible options)
Unfortunately, Sylpheed isn't able to establish a connection to the
server and fetch my folder list. Here are the relevant logs:
[17:21:33] * message: creating IMAP4 connection to company.mail.net:993 ...
[17:21:33] * message: SSL certificate of company.mail.net has expired
[17:21:33] ** LibSylph-WARNING: company.mail.net: SSL certificate
verify failed (10: certificate has expired)
[17:21:36] IMAP4< * OK Microsoft Exchange Server 2003 IMAP4rev1 server
version 6.5.7638.1 (maa-exchfea.maa.corp.company.net) ready.
[17:21:36] IMAP4> 1 CAPABILITY
[17:21:36] ** LibSylph-WARNING: SSL_peek() returned error 1, ret = -1
[17:21:36] ** LibSylph-WARNING: [17:21:36] Could not establish IMAP connection.
[17:21:36] ** warning: Could not establish IMAP connection.
How do I further investigate this problem? I understand that the
SSL_peek() error is coming from openssl?
Ram
