Ok, I've reinstalled Sylpheed 3.2.0b7 three times tonight and the same
things have happened each time, which makes me wonder if there's a bug
(s) somewhere:
- "mailto" is not present in Default Programs > Associate a file type
or protocol (Win 7/64)
- there is no "mailto" key under the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Classes
\ (per your entries below) - and there isn't one in
sylpheed-mailto-protocol.reg file either
- running sylpheed-mailto-protocol.reg solves nothing and seems to
create more problems
- mailto still does not open a compose window from either Opera or
Waterfox when Sylpheed is already running;
So, still nothing solved and now one more problem - no mailto in
Default Programs. Btw, this is a new clean install of Win 7/64
and everything else on a new SSD two weeks ago. Thanks for your great
efforts,
Gene
