Always delighted to see a new beta. In this case, however, I'm lukewarm to the new UI.

My preference for the message display has always been to not display the header pane and always display short headers on message view, so the two tabs above the headers work well. It is immediately apparent if there are attachments. Now, with the attachments button over on the right, it's not immediately apparent. Also, with my configuration in the new interface, there is now a wide, empty header pane.

So, I turned the header pane on and reduced the short headers in the message view to just the date and the X-Mailer, but it's still not intuitive to look screen right to see if there are attachments, and the Date and X-Mailer look lonely outside the header. I don't suppose the new interface could be optional? Or, would you consider including all of the headers inside the header pane? User-selectable, of course, as it is now with the short headers. At the very least consider including the date.

Thank you.
