Oh, that's great :), wasn't aware of that before, so thank you very much
for providing this information :).

Not sure, but maybe an update to GTK+ 2.24.8 (or later) could help?

And maybe that could be related:

http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gtk+/2.24/gtk+-2.24.7.news
"* Bugs fixed:
616544 win32 drag and drop (DnD) broken for GTK+ 3"
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=616544

? (2.24.7 not even the latest version, see below)

Is there a reason why you are using such an old version of GTK+ for the
Windows version of Sylpheed ;)? Basically already asked that there:
http://www.sraoss.jp/pipermail/sylpheed/2012-January/004984.html

For GTK+ 2.24.8 there seem to be reports like:

"Major update of the win32 backend, it now works at least as well as
the old 2.16.x version that a lot of windows applications was forced to
use"
http://ftp.gnome.org/pub/GNOME/sources/gtk+/2.24/gtk+-2.24.8.news
"It not needed to use 2.16 anymore !"
http://identi.ca/notice/86310462
"So, the newly released Gtk+ 2.24.8 is now officially the best ever
Gtk+ 2.x release on windows."
http://blogs.gnome.org/alexl/2011/11/25/gtk-work-on-windows/

So, out of curiosity, why do you still use such an old
GTK+ version (2.10.14) for the latest Windows versions of Sylpheed ;)?

Why not update to GTK+ 2.24.8 (or later), if it is said to be at least
as good if not better than older versions ;)?

And, although not sure, maybe it would even make the drag and drop
feature work ;)?
