Right click to toggle?  It's left clicking that is standard.  With a
right click in the sys tray, most apps show a variety of options, as
does Sylpheed (at least in Win32 version).  For instance, right
clicking shows the following:

Display Sylpheed
________________
Get from current account
Get from all accounts
Send queued messages
_____________________
Compose new message
____________________
Exit
