I am not sure where the setting is on your system (freebsd?) but
imagine it is the same as both my windows and Ubuntu are identical.

config-edit-accounts-accountyouwant-edit-receive tab (make sure your
inbox is correct) then advanced tab- seee the sent, trash, draft etc
folders. Set them correctly and check the checkbox.

I assume you are talking about mailboxes and not folders?
