[sylpheed:34346] Sylpheed hangs completely on a failing POP3 server

Hello all,

One of my accounts, where I normally download mail with POP3, makes
Sylpheed hang completely - and no timeout either. This happened several
times over the last days, so I tried to pinpoint the problem.

Running Sylpheed from a terminal window doesn't produce any output at
all, but running it with --debug just a few lines are printed:

Creating progress dialog
getting new messages of account IUA...
LibSylph-Message: Connecting to POP3 server: pop.iua.edu.ar...

Reloading /etc/resolv.conf
sock_connect_address_list_async: waiting for connect


That's all. No amount of waiting gets the program further.
