FYI.

I recently changed one of my passwords for one of my email accounts
where the first 6 characters were special characters (ie: @^ *) etc.
However when I tried checking my email (pop account on ssl) it kept
insisting that my password or id was invalid. I triple checked all my
settings and finally concurred that either the problem was with the
email provider (but I could log in to their webmail no problem) or
sylpheed. Since I had not done a password based almost exclusively on
special characters before, I changed the password to one based on
standard text characters and tried again with sylpheed. And it worked.
Obviously something in the way Sylpheed (on Windows at any rate) handles
passwords interferes with using special character based passwords.

Am running 2.6.0 on Windows XP (latest)
