Here is the relevant part:

configure:25162: result: no
configure:25177: checking whether to use GtkSpell
configure:25187: result: yes
configure:25189: checking whether GtkSpell is available
configure:25211: result: no

my packages:
% rpm -qa | grep gtkspell
lib64gtkspell-devel-2.0.11-3mdv2008.1
gtkspell-2.0.11-3mdv2008.1

gnome-python-gtkspell-2.19.1-10.10mdv2008.1


What do you suggest?  I seem to have gtkspell on my system....
