No--I don't think it has to do with the long addresses. I get the same
errors even with shorter freemail addresses. It would appear to be
something with their (or sylpheed's) imap implementation. But what?

By the way, after I get this FETCH error, it basically freezes that
imap account:

LibSylph-WARNING **: [13:30:30] can't select folder: INBOX
LibSylph-WARNING **: Can't create 'Trash'
LibSylph-WARNING **: [13:30:18] can't create mailbox: LIST failed
LibSylph-WARNING **: [13:30:13] error on imap command: STATUS

Hasn't /anyone/ tried freemail with sylpheed?? :)
