Thanks for the several responses.  The pointers are appreciated.
But current Sylpheed capabilities still do not achieve the level of
control that the Pegasus Mail-type arrangement allows.  Granted, for
some the option to choose where to put the copy to self for each
message would indeed be annoying, which is why it should be a
selectable option. ;-)  Jn
