[sylpheed:31918] sylpheed and X.509 certificates

Hi all,
 
  I have some requirements that i need, and i don't know if sylpheed can address them:

  - Could any one tell me if sylpheed can sign mail using X.509 certificates ?
  - Can i check mail signatures of X.509 certificate ?

 If it can, how can i configure it ?

 I tried to register my certificate key with gpg with no luck. Does any one tried something like this ?
