[sylpheed:30224] New Message Count Bug

I posted this subject Aug 22, using 2.2.x, but it was more a question
than a bug report.  This is a bug report, as the behavior is still
present in 2.3.0b2/Win32.  The New message count does not add
the count of New messages in a folder to the existing count, but
replaces the existing count with the latest number read in.  "Get All"
and closing/reopening seem to trigger this. I didn't check "Get."
