I would say "any button that is showing activity by the user". When
I'm composing a mail it happens that the output on the display is
frozen when Sylpheed is getting messages. IMHO getting messages every
X minutes is only useful when Sylpheed is not actively used, but
that's just MHO ;-)

And as programming is (unfortunately) not one of my best skills, I have
no idea if it is difficult to create such an option. But it would be
very nice if such an option were available :)
