Same problem with "From, contains".
I have done a right click on the mail then "Create filter rule" > "by From".
But today, I have again received a mail that has not been filtered:
From: noreply at netaffiliation.com
Subject: [Netaffiliation - Kwanko] Nouveaux programmes
Date: Wed, 13 Nov 2013 02:13:11 +0100 (CET)

It is in the Inbox instead of the netaffiliation folder.

Do you have an other suggestion ?
