[sylpheed:35175] selecting the newest thread in a newsgroup

When I open a newsgroup in Sylpheed 3.1.3, it expands message tree and goes to the latest unread message in any thread. I don't want Sylpheed to automatically expand any thread, but to select the latest existing thread instead - just like Windows Mail or Thunderbird do. I tried to disable "Open first unread message when a folder is opened" option, but it didn't help.
