My local certificates work with mutt and GMail, so I know I have valid ones. What determines where sylpheed looks for SSL certificates? Environment variable? Something in sylpheedrc?

Thanks for the info. I tried making a symlink from /etc/ssl/certs to the directory where my certificates are stored, but that didn't help. This isn't a huge problem, and I have no time to troubleshoot, so I'll live with it until sylpheed 2.4.9 comes out.
