AFAIK OpenSync uses pilot-link to communicate with the Palm, the same
library is used by JPilot and by Sylpheed to get access to the Palm
addressbook.
In your case, I think you can just save your palm addressbook using
the pilot-link tool (pilot-xfer) and have Sylpheed use this file (declare
this file as the JPilot addressbook).
By the way, it could be nice to have write access to this addressbook
so we can import addresses from mails into the Palm database...
