I don't understand, with my patch, if you set user agent to nothing
(a.k.a. keep the box where you define the custom string empty) the
X-Mailer header is not put in the mail, it is not empty, totally it is
not there. Doesn't it work for you ? The patch is agains 3.1.1 btw.
I am sending this message with keeping the user agent box empty, so
X-Mailer should not be there.

Thank you, the patch is meant for Hiroyuki's consideration :) If he
accepts it, everyone will be able to use it with the next release.
