The trouble is I want to move addresses and saved messages over but can't locate the target folders in XP. I'm operating as administrator and read that they should be found in c:\Users\administrator\Application Data but don't have a \Users directory. Relevant searches haven't uncovered anything either. I'm stumped.

(moved from the top, top posting is "evil" :-)

Perhaps I should set up a user account for myself, but I didn't think it would make a difference. Nonetheless, I've been using this for about a week, where's the data?

No idea other than to search your drive for accountrc or sylpheedrc.
Those are 2 files that should be in the base directory for the
application.

I've generally found it bad form to use the administrator account for
"general use". I always create an account and make it a member of the
admin group. I view it kind of like generally being a bad idea to use
the root account on linux (too bad windows doesn't have a "sudo"
equivalent).
