That sure is a reasonable argument. That's why it should be
configurable ;).

But, considering the amount of messages you receive per day and the
fact, that the Sylpheed tray icon blinks about 5 times after new
messages arrived, it might already blink up to around 1000 times per
day for you, doesn't it? ;D
