After  a  summary update the error repeats: Sylpheed
crashes on opening the huge message  and  on  subse-
quent runs it is seen as empty until another summary
update, and so on.

The problem occurs only if the "Auto-check new mail"
option is on, and if by the time an autocheck starts
Sylpheed is busy  downloading  a  huge  message,  it
crashes.   This scheduled mail check seems to be the
"another command" causing the crash.
