I still don't understand the reason. Could someone explain better ?
Maybe I am missing some feature in a more-than-one-instance situation
that I am not aware of.

At present I have four accounts defined, each with own totally
independent inbox, sent, etc. (i.e. also independent physical folders in
user data). I don't see any interaction between accounts, except if I
define a filter that moves on purpose something from account x to
account y.

In fact the most annoying is the way I have to switch accounts when
composing a new e-mail. What I really miss is a mechanism that
automatically changes the lower right accounts selection list when I
click (focus) a particular folder (or a folder that belongs to an
account) in the tree pane.

(off-topic: having "inbox" and "sent" folders is old-fashioned, the
most convenient way for me would be to have all incoming messages and
my response to them in a single folder, so I can follow a discussion
idea; this happens anyway in every mailing list folder, but does not
work for not-filtered messages)
