[sylpheed:33915] signature question, part 2...

I have finally gotten my signature application working on windows, sort
of.

It's a 2 part program, one, written in VB6 that generates a signature
and writes it to a named pipe (this one runs "constantly"), the other a
C program that reads the pipe and writes what ever it read to stdout
(this is the one that sylpheed actually runs).  

The multiline signature has each line separated by a CR only (not a
CR/LF) since with the CR/LF combo, in the compose window the signature
was double spaced.  With the CR only, the signature looks correct in
the compose window but (as you see below, I hope) gets "smashed all to
hell" when delivery occurs.

Why?
