Hi HBB

I had a couple of minutes, so I did the following:

1. installed sylpheed for windoze in a virtual xp-machine (NTFS formatted)
2. copied over a pop3 mailbox folder (my only pop mailbox) from my linux
installation to the appropriate location in windoze

Result: things seem to work flawlessly - I can see all mails, work with them
- it even would display the messages I colorized using the correct color. A
'.sylpheed_cache' file is created in linux as well along with a
'.sylpheed_mark' file in each subfolder of the mailbox.

My guess would also be permissions in linux somehow or other. Your USB device
should get mounted by your user, not root.

Maybe this helps
mike
