[sylpheed:32938] spelling in 2.6.0 stable - self-compiled

Hi,
I have successfully compiled and installed 2.6 on top of 2.5.
I notice I do not seem to have spelling enabled--and was wondering if I should have compiled with a specific spelling option; or what I may be missing for the spelling feature.

The "install" file only mentions a --disable-gtkspell so I am assuming  spelling would be enabled by default.

Am I missing something?

I have these packages installed:
gnome-python-gtkspell-2.19.1-10.10mdv2008.1
gtkspell-2.0.11-3mdv2008.1
lib64gtkspell0-2.0.11-3mdv2008.1
