Ok this is interesting to see. I wondered if anyone else was having
this problem. I use the windows version of sylpheed. Would any others
on this list using version 2.4.2 win 32 please test send .pdf files?

Nope. I use AVG and it does not scan my emails (I disabled the feature
for a number of reasons)
