[sylpheed:31377] gettext can work with more complex plural forms ?

Somewhere in the ro.po file I have this:

msgid "%d new, %d unread, %d total"
msgstr "%d nou(i), %d necitit(e), %d în total"

The actual Romanian translation is not very nice, each of the first
two numbers should have distinct singular and plural forms:

nou for 1, noi for > 1
necitit for 1, necitite for > 2

The gettext "Plural-Forms: nplurals= ..." provides support for more than
one plural item in same sentence ?
