[sylpheed:30160] Sylpheed 2.2.7: two issues/bugs

I've been running sylpheed 2.2.7 on Solaris 10 x86 for a while now and have been mostly
happy with the performance, excepting two current issues that are really frustrating me,
enough that I've considered switching to another program:

1) With relative frequency, when I pass the mouse pointer between panes the pointer
suddenly changes to "copy" icon as if I'd clicked and dragged something (which I
hadn't; none of the mouse buttons are clicked during this time). The only way to
get rid of it is to hit the Esc key, at which point I see the following errors in
the xterm I started sylpheed from:

     (sylpheed:8632): Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtkwidget.c: line 5916: assertion `GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed

     (sylpheed:8632): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: file gobject.c: line 1222: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed

Since I tend to move through my email relatively fast, having to pause to hit the
Esc key to continue gets very frustrating, especially when I'm moving around a lot
   as I'm reading email.

2) I tend to compact my folders (no numerical "holes" via nmh), and this seems to really
confuse sylpheed 2.2.7 as it tends to display the wrong information for the moved
messages in the summary panel. The only way to fix this is to move the affected
emails to another folder and back; clearly not a pleasant option.

These two issues, combined with the long-running "wait for the app to finish scanning
the folders before you can do ANYTHING else", have been really frustrating as of late.
Might I be able to get some assistance with these issues? I really have liked using
Sylpheed for the past several years and would rather not switch.

Thank you for your time.

Ken
