Hi,

In

I mentioned that cp->username was NULL when SSL was initialized.

The attached patch fixes that by setting the username and database 
fields for backend connections (sr_check_user, ...).

It also fixes a spelling issue.

Probably not critical, but it should be ok for master at least. It is 
def needed for future SSL work.
