[pgpool-general: 6771] Fwd: Query on quarantine node

Hi Pgpool Team,

           Am using pgpool for managing postgres cluster in my production
environment, but sometimes I see few of the nodes being marked as
'quarantined' in the below two cases.
*Wanted to understand when the nodes will be marked as quarantined.*


*Case 1: Bring down one of the slave node*
- I see master node showing status as ' quarantined' for one on the slave
node  , while others show as 'up' is it expected?
- Ideally, the status should have been down right ?

Case 2 : In a 3-node cluster, the first master was already down, when
getting the second master down, always its status is marked as
'quarantined'
- Is this expected ?
- What exactly  'quarantined' means here.

Please let me know the same at the earliest.
