[pgpool-general: 3898] PGPool questions

Hi,

  I have some questions about pgpool:

1. Does PG pool use a witness server? how does PGPool prevents split-brain
situations
2. Suppose there was an automatic failover, can the application use the
same IP/port address as before the failover? what is the mechanism for that?
3, How do you prevent a single point of failure when connecting to the
pgpool?
4. How difficult is it to port PGPool to Windows
