I'm not sure if you are referring to me regarding my failover issue or Wolfgang's comment.   I've taken the mailing list email off in case.

I'm using psql to test my connection to pgpool.

psql -h appserver01 -p 9999

When I take down the slave node... I get this as pgpool resets the child processes but my 0 node is up so I reconnect.

postgres=# \list
The connection to the server was lost. Attempting reset: Succeeded.

When I take down the master node.. I get this when it should failover to the slave node that is up.

postgres=# show pool_nodes;
The connection to the server was lost. Attempting reset: Failed.
