[pgpool-general: 728] wd_init failed

I'm testing pgpool-II 3.2 beta1, but when I start pgpool, this error is logged:

2012-07-12 16:19:58 LOG:   pid 11824: Backend status file /var/log/pgpool/pgpool_status does not exist
2012-07-12 16:20:01 ERROR: pid 11824: failed to connect trusted server
2012-07-12 16:20:01 ERROR: pid 11824: wd_init failed

The trusted_server property in my pgpool.conf file is empty.

What is the reason of this error?
