 I have made a patch that will enable defining custom X-Mailer and
X-Newsreader header. With this patch applied go to

 Configuration -> Common preferences -> Send -> General

 and set your custom header. If you don't want X-Mailer or
X-Newsreader set, just leave the string empty.

 It would be nice to have this in :)
