So, if I understand correctly, you are shutting down the
network interface on <br>
server 2 and from that point that server has problem
connecting to postgresql <br>
via pgpool ? Would that be because that server is running
active pgpool and <br>
you connecting locally to it, which means on simulated
downtime it has lost <br>
connection to primary database in pool (which sits on
server 1, right )? <br>

I simulate problem with connection to server nr 2, so Postgres slave
and second Pgpool are down, and I'm trying connection from another
(my) computer through Pgpool on server nr 1 (and eventually through
Pgpool on server nr 3, but is the same as through Pgpoolo on server
nr 1).<br>
When server 2 goes down (no connection to this server), Pgpool on
server 1 should redirect my connections to Postgres master on the
same server nr 1. Current connections are working, but if I want
initiate new connection through Pgpool on server nr 1, I'm waiting
long time without effect, so I can't create new connection, only I
can use current connections.<br>
I hope now is clear, I wrote previous mail at night :)<br>
