<div>I am trying to use pgpool with pam authentication.</div>
<div>Created and installed pgpool v3.5 (-with-pam) and updated pool_hba.conf file to accept pam method.</div>

<div>PgPool is returning below errors even without asking for password.</div>

<div>psql: FATAL: failed authentication against PAM</div>
<div>DETAIL: pam_authenticate failed: Authentication failure</div>

<div>PAM is working good while connecting to DB.</div>

<div>Can someone please help me understand the error or RC?</div>
