we are trying to configure pgpool as a proxy between some
applications and postgres and it does not work, the error we receive
any time when our applicationes try to select or insert any data
into the postgres databases is : An I/O error occured while sending
to the backend.<br>
<br>
The environment we have is the following:<br>
- Operating System: CentOS 6.5<br>
- Postgresql version: 8.4.20<br>
- Postgres packages installed: postgresql.i686,
postgresql-contrib.i686, postgresql-devel.i686,
postgresql-libs.i686.<br>
- Pgpool version: 3.2.0<br>
- Pgpool packages installed: postgresql-pgpool-II-3.2.0-1.el6.i686
and postgresql-pgpool-II-recovery-3.2.0-1.el6.i686<br>

We are configuring pgpool in replication mode but so far, we have
not been able to make pgpool work even in the master.<br>
<br>
When we test pgpool directly everything goes right in both the
master and the slave, but when are our applications the ones which
try to access the databases the previous error is showed.<br>
<br>
I have attached part of the pgpool log file as well as the pgpool
configuration files.<br>
<br>
Any help would be really appreciated,<br>
