Hi,

I think the word "degeneration" used pgpool-II doc is a plain
misue. That was my fault which happend when I translated Japanese
pgpool-II doc to English. The word is used when one of DB nodes failed
and pgpool-II detach the node to continue the database service with
rest of nodes. I think there are several words for this:

1) (graceful) degradation
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fault-tolerant_system
# probably I mistake for this.

2) Fallback
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fallback

3) Fail-safe
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fail-safe

4) Fail soft
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fail_soft

5) other

Which one is most appropreate? Opinions and comments are welcome.
